Morell & Area Development Corporation (MADC) is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and enhancing the quality of life across the greater Morell region. Guided by community input through regular surveys, MADC works to identify local needs, respond to emerging opportunities, and strengthen connections throughout the area—from St. Peter’s to Lakeville, Peakes, and the north shore.

MADC plays an active role in welcoming new year-round residents through its Welcome Gift Bag program, helping newcomers feel connected while promoting local businesses and services. The organization also brings the community together through events such as a summer concert series, seasonal celebrations, and a popular pre-Christmas Mystery Dinner Theatre.

Communication and collaboration are key priorities, with MADC facilitating regional dialogue through online platforms and partnerships with neighbouring communities, including St. Peter’s. The group supports safe access to outdoor spaces like Lakeside Beach, the Confederation Trail, and Red Head Harbour, while also championing tourism and local economic development.
